Sunday saw Inverurie travel to Huntly to tackle the Highlanders, the youngsters developed as part of the youth initiative there.
The home side batted first and the score had reached 61 before Angus lost patience and was bowled by Hadden. Dale Alexander followed suit two balls later, but Callum Howard joined Farr and demonstrated the benefits of a good technique, scoring mainly in the region of extra cover. Once Farr departed attempting to force the pace against Hadden however, the Inverurie bowlers had an end open, and the innings subsided to 127 all out in the penultimate over.
Inverurie’s progress towards the total was serene, with Richie Lamb carrying his bat for 58, but there were plenty signs that Huntly are on the right lines.
The match ball was donated by Honorary President Jocky Ogston, Don Crescent, Inverurie.
